Great Bargain on OREO's and Milk

Jewel Osco has an awesome promotion going on Oreo's as part of their Game Night Dunk Challenge. Buy 2 packages of Oreos and get $2 off on milk.

This week 1 gallon of Lucerne Milk is only $2.99. This makes a sweet deal for those late night snacks. Oreo's vary in price around $3.00 a package so its like getting 2 packages and gallon of milk for $6. Some packages in the store have these $1.00 off coupons on the front of them. So you can save an additional $1 for every 2 packages you buy with a gallon of milk.

If you have any coupons from the Sunday paper you could combine these offers. One coupon per item is usually the rule. This is a great deal to me for since I have a large family. We drink 2-3 gal of milk a week and with 3 kids snacks go fast even when rationed. So here is a break down of what that would normally cost vs doing this awesome deal.

Milk (1Gal)=$3.99  (this is avg. price at our local store)
Oreo's (15.25 oz package) = $2.98

So,

3 Milk                    =$11.97
2 Oreo Packages    =$5.96

Total                          $17.93

But using this sale paired with coupons you can get 3 x the oreos and the same amount of milk for less.

2 Oreo and 1 Milk (Advertised Sale = $2.00 off 1 Gal of milk when you buy 2 Oreos)

6 Oreo's  (2.98)                                                                                         =$17.88
3 Milk    (2.99 for Lucerne Milk on sale this week)                                 =$8.97
3 automatic discounts on milk for advertised deal                                   =-$6.00
3 coupons from front of packages $1.00 off oreo with purchase of Milk= -$3.00

Total                                                                                                            $ 17.85

That's like getting 4 packages of Oreo's for free.. You don't have to go crazy and buy out the store. I suggest just buying what you normally would in Milk and save some cash.  It's not a stockpile deal to an extreme couponer but to a thrifty mom on a budget, its a great start.
